Facebook 101 and VoiceOver

Just in time to reach out to family and friends and keep in touch over the holidays!

MAST has partnered with Tracy Boyd of Mommies with Guides to offer two workshops in how to use your mobile device with VoiceOver and Facebook. Tracy’s group, Mommies with Guides has gotten national media attention and has utilized Facebook and other social media to connect blind mothers with guide dogs from around the country. This is our second time offering this workshop, and some information will be the same as last year. However, we have updated the material to reflect changes in Facebook formatting and Tracy will offer her own shortcuts and ideas about how to make Facebook as fun as possible.

Session 1 will focus on how the Facebook app is laid out, what are the different functions and how can the app be best navigated with Voice Over. We will also look at how to read your news feed, interact with news items and find friends and lots more.

Session 2 will focus on alternative ways to interact with Facebook such as Siri or Voicebook-VO and other options.

Each workshop is two hours and will provide a fun and easy way to discover one of the most used social networks. You may sign up for either session or both.

Space is limited to 10 participants per session In order to allow for everyone to get the most out of the sessions so reserve your spot now.
