Niklas Petersson, Senior Technology Specialist at Miles Access Skills Training, LLC, will introduce screenreading software that allows users with vision loss or print disabilities to access Windows-based PCs in their jobs and daily lives. Learn the basics of how to use a screenreader to email, create documents, browse the internet and read ebooks. Survey the available screenreading options such as JAWS, Window-Eyes, and NVDA. This will be a fun and practical workshop for individuals with print disabilities such as vision loss or dyslexia, professionals who work with adaptive tech, web developers who want to learn a bit more about how screenreaders work with websites and anyone else who is interested in adaptive technology.
